Ted began his career in real estate in 1989 after receiving his BS in Business Finance. His first two years were spent as a Real Estate Agent with Dilbeck Realtors and then he moved upstairs to join IVE as the fourth assistant on a busy team.  Ted quickly moved up the ranks and began to run his own desk in 1994, then manage a branch in 1995, obtain ownership in IVE in 1997, became CFO in 1998, and then completely moved off his desk in 2001 to assist Kirk in managing the company’s growth, where they quickly expanded from 4 branches to 8 by 2006.

Then came the real education as the crash lead to tough decisions, quick actions, additional investment into the company, and retention of key staff to help navigate IVE back to eventual profitability.

Today tasked with legal, financial and regulatory oversight of IVE, Ted works to ensure that IVE employees follow “good escrow practice”, are kept abreast of the ever changing landscape of settlement procedures, and that they get paid on-time, every time. 

​

To keep on top of things Ted is an active member in the California Escrow Association, The Escrow Institute and as a current member of the Board of Directors of the Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation.

In his off hours you can find Ted enjoying time with his wife of thirty years, Olivia.  Hiking, biking, swimming and wine tasting on frequent trips to Santa Barbara.  And trying to keep up with their three Gen Z adult kids who live in New York, New Zealand and thankfully, one still at home.
